Because of you, love is not foreign to me.

You have been a constant in my life when everyone else seem fickle.

You are the representation of natural beauty;

The living proof of confidence.

With you, I can think aloud

You may not be into poetry, nonetheless this poem is long overdue

I remember the days we went jaunting through Europe

The days you’d cook my meals while I’d relax and binge watch TV shows

Those days were when I didn’t fill my mind with life matters

Life was just that simple because you have been my cheer all along

You give me accolades when I didn’t think myself deserving

You appreciate my efforts at putting a smile on your face

You remain honest and play the most trustworthy person I know

That’s a big role to fill, yet you never kvetch about my ramblings on long phone conversations

You are the kind of person a street ought to be named after or better yet, a holiday

I love having you in my life and I can never picture a world without you.
