Yesterday has passed

Hard feelings, dismissed

Today, let’s start over

It’s only clever

Hi; meet Heart again

Let’s start with this bargain:

I’m innately imperfect

Perhaps, rational to a fault

However, I’m emotionally flawed

Ironic, but not unbearable

So, will you accept me still?

My quirks, however perceived;

It’s all whom I’ve, over the years, become

And it’s you I hope learns to accept them as more years come

I love you both in the right and wrong way

While the former keeps me sane,

The latter tends to drive me insane

It’s how to counterpoise both I’m yet to learn

For you have me love-struck

It’s not my fault

That over the thought of your touch, I melt

It gives me tinges merely picturing those moments we’d hold hands

The soulful kisses, sheer bliss

And now I’m jonesing for more intimacy
