What Is Selfishness?

Oftentimes, people use the term selfish rather too loosely. From observation, I have noticed that when people want something from you, and they have the belief that you have the means to give it to them, but you are not doing so, then they call you selfish. The question is, does that really fit into the true meaning of selfishness? It is inappropriate calling someone who has helped you and given you money in the past (whether or not it’s of recent) as selfish. If you are demanding for a certain amount and they are be to assist you with a portion, that does not make them selfish. If you want to make it a regular thing that someone gives you from time to time, and they are unable to do so when you wish for it, that does not make them selfish.

Stop Feeling Entitled

Must it be spelled out to us that no one owes us anything. You might feel that someone has sufficient resources (money and otherwise) to meet your needs, but you are forgetting to consider that they might have been working extra hard to save up for what they need as well. Also, put in mind that the same way you are asking this one person for money is the same way all other people around them are asking them for money as well. Can this one…
